Top 60 accounting firm Grassi has expanded its New York City presence and its tax practice after adding CPA firm Hoffman Mulligan, effective Aug. 1.<\/p>\n

Financial terms of the deal weren\u2019t disclosed. The Hoffman Mulligan team, including partners\u00a0Don Hoffman\u00a0and\u00a0Janet Mulligan, along with 20 professionals, has relocated to Grassi\u2019s New York City headquarters on Madison Avenue.<\/p>\n

This is Grassi\u2019s first M&A deal in 2026. Its last addition was Denver-based OnePoint Franchise Accounting last November.<\/p>\n

Grassi says the addition of Hoffman Mulligan enhances its ability to serve\u00a0high-net-worth\u00a0individuals and closely held businesses with specialized\u00a0tax advisory and planning\u00a0solutions.<\/p>\n

With a more than 45-year history, Hoffman Mulligan grew out of a predecessor firm, Tanton & Co., after Donald Hoffman and Janet Mulligan assumed leadership in 2013. It\u2019s a full-service tax, accounting, and business consulting firm that serves a diverse clientele of individuals, families, and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

Grassi says the integration reflects the firm\u2019s ongoing commitment to organic growth and strategic expansion by investing in talent while maintaining its independence and high-touch client service model.<\/p>\n
