{"id":1001602,"date":"2026-08-15T03:35:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-15T03:35:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1001602\/"},"modified":"2026-08-15T03:35:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T03:35:14","slug":"lancaster-man-pleads-guilty-to-killing-4-and-setting-home-on-fire-nbc-los-angeles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1001602\/","title":{"rendered":"Lancaster man pleads guilty to killing 4 and setting home on fire \u2013 NBC Los Angeles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man has pleaded guilty to murdering four people inside a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/?s=lancaster\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lancaster <\/a>home in 2024 and then setting it on fire as an act of revenge following the end of a romantic relationship, the Los Angeles County District Attorney&#8217;s Office said Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/video\/news\/local\/police-arrest-19-year-old-accused-of-killing-four-in-lancaster\/3566880\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Manuel Diego Sandoval<\/a>, 21,\u00a0 pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder, with special circumstance allegations of multiple murders and murder by means of lying in wait.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sandoval also pleaded guilty to one felony count each of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary and arson of an inhabited structure or property, along with three felony counts of animal cruelty and two counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe defendant was jilted when he broke up with his boyfriend and then did something unimaginable when he killed four innocent people,\u201d Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said in a statement. \u201cThis was a calculated act of violence that left a void for the victims\u2019 families that can never be filled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to prosecutors, Sandoval, who was 19 at the time, waited outside a home on North Tabler Avenue in Lancaster on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/lancaster-shooting-house-fire\/3569727\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nov. 16, 2024<\/a>, until the occupants had gone to bed.
