Piper Perabo has confirmed there has been \u201csome discussion\u201d about a potential Coyote Ugly sequel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old actor, who led the 2000 romcom as a 21-year-old aspiring songwriter whose dreams are derailed by her day job as a bartender, was recently asked by The Hollywood Reporter <\/a>about long-simmering rumors of a belated follow-up.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere has been some discussion about that,\u201d Perabo teased. \u201cSome things are being discussed. I can\u2019t really say, but people that were doing it are talking about some stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo the conversations are back on, it sounds like,\u201d journalist Tiffany Taylor noted, to which the Yellowstone star replied<\/a>: \u201cAmong the necessary \u2014 and some people that were like, well, we don\u2019t necessarily need, they\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, well I wanna be in it.\u2019 So, there\u2019s a lot of cooks in the kitchen right now, but things are moving around.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cryptically addressing whether there was already a script, Perabo said: \u201cI can\u2019t say anything about that, but I will say that people that were integral to making it are in communication about how to do something more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Directed by David McNally, Coyote Ugly raked in $114 million at the worldwide box office, according to Box Office Mojo<\/a>. Though it mostly received negative critical reviews, it has since become a cult classic.<\/p>\n

The film also starred Maria Bello, Bridget Moynahan, Izabella Miko, Tyra Banks, and Melanie Lynskey, who has previously spoken out about \u201cridiculous\u201d pressure she<\/a> and her co-stars faced to maintain a certain physique.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the girls had this regimen they had to go on. It was ridiculous. I was already starving myself and as thin as I could possibly be for this body, and I was still a [size] four,\u201d Lynskey told The Hollywood Reporter in 2022.<\/p>\n

In celebration of the film\u2019s 25th anniversary in February, the cast reunited for a special screening and Q&A, with proceeds benefiting the victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the panel discussion, Miko recalled the lengthy and intense rehearsals for the bar strutting dance numbers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels like it was months, but I don\u2019t know if it was months, but it was a long time,\u201d she said, per People<\/a>. \u201cThere was just not only the choreography, but also just dealing with fire and water elements. That was great.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody thinks I was dancing on the bar and I\u2019m so grateful I wasn\u2019t,\u201d Lynsky added, noting that her co-stars\u2019 stunts seemed like \u201ca nightmare.\u201d<\/p>\n
