JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A man in his 30s was shot in the leg early Saturday morning while walking to a nearby convenience store, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to the 1300 block of Barnett Street, near Kings Road, at approximately 6:30 a.m. after reports of a shooting. <\/p>\n
They found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue transported him to a local hospital, where his injuries are considered non-life-threatening, police said.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, the victim was approached by an unknown male. The suspect told the victim to \u201ctighten up\u201d before shooting him and fleeing on foot.<\/p>\n
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 16 years old, with a thin build.<\/p>\n
Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident.<\/p>\n
