A man is dead, and a woman remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle early Saturday morning in west Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.<\/p>\n

Download the 12News app<\/a><\/p>\n Phoenix police said officers responded around 1:43 a.m. to a two-vehicle collision near 51st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.\u00a0<\/p>\n When the Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene, they found a crash involving a car and a motorcycle with three people affected. \u00a0<\/p>\n There is a hard closure at the intersection of 51st Avenue and Watkins Street. Please avoid the area while detectives continue to investigate the collision.<\/strong><\/p>\n Police said a man died and a woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. A fire official said an additional man was evaluated but refused hospitalization.<\/p>\n Detectives with the Phoenix Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to investigate the collision.
