(Reza et al., npj Microgravity, 2026)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">So it might reasonably be assumed that <a data-ylk=\"slk:low gravity;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencealert.com\/scientists-put-cats-in-microgravity-to-see-what-would-happen\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">low gravity<\/a> would also reduce the cooling capacity of those space bubbles because they can&#8217;t carry heat away as fast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">But the researchers found the opposite: reduced gravity improved heat removal under certain conditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">That is, until a heat threshold was exceeded and boiling became unstable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;What we found is that up to a point, boiling actually got more effective, which was the opposite of what we expected,&#8221; <a data-ylk=\"slk:says;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/news.ufl.edu\/2026\/07\/liquids-in-space\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">says<\/a> mechanical engineer and senior author Youngsup Song, from the University of Florida.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;The catch is that the safety limit drops sharply.
