WA weather: Dreary start to the week as showers and heavy winds set to batter Perth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Perth residents should make the most of Sunday\u2019s sunshine ahead of a dreary start to the work week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">After an unusually warm winter weekend where the mercury soared to the mid 20s, wet weather is forecast to hit the metropolitan region on Monday as a cold front crosses over the State.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Bureau meteorologists have predicted a \u2018very high\u2019 chance of rain across the Perth region at the start of the week, with Monday\u2019s showers expected to bring nearly 10mm of rainfall over the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The cold front will also result in strong coastal winds across WA on Monday as the Bureau have issued a strong wind warning for several towns across the state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Locals residing in Perth, Geraldton, Lancelin, Bunbury, Albany, and Esperance have been warned to expect strong winds \u2014 with gusts anticipated to reach speeds between 48 and 61km\/hr.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The wet weather is expected to ease up slightly on Tuesday, with experts predicting only a slight chance of drizzle in the evening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">However, the reprieve will be short-lived as a second weaker cold front is expected to hit Western Australia on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Showers will continue to pour on and off across Perth through Wednesday and Thursday, bringing up to 5mm of rain total across the two days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Despite the soggy conditions, the temperatures throughout the week are forecast to reach the early to mid 20s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Sunshine is set to reemerge on Friday, but don\u2019t rush to make any outdoor plans for the upcoming weekend \u2014 a chance of showers still remains for Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>PERTH WEATHER FORECAST<\/p>\n<ul class=\"css-hocug1-StyledPNBaseList e1tb42w52\">\n<li class=\"css-174hqq1-StyledPNParagraph-StyledPNTextListItem-StyledPNListItem-StyledPNTextListItem e1tb42w50\"><strong>Sunday<\/strong>: Sunny, 11 &#8211;
