The towering 6-foot-6, 218-pounder made headlines last season by scoring 20 goals and adding seven assists in 43 games for MHK Dynamo St. Petersburg in Russia\u2019s MHL, showing off a powerful shot and bruising physicality that overwhelmed opposing defenders.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-1\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"64\">Now, Prokhorov has reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dynamo.ru\/news\/231280-chetyire_hokkeista_podpisali_probnyie_soglasheniya_s_belo_golubyimi_\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">signed a tryout agreement <\/a>with KHL club Dynamo Moscow, a logical next step as he looks to make the jump to Russia\u2019s top professional league. If successful, the move will enable him to face higher competition while continuing his development overseas before transitioning to North America.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6b\">What makes Prokhorov stand out, beyond his imposing size, is his competitive nature and confidence. Shortly after being drafted, he shared that he felt a strong connection with the Islanders and even predicted they would select him just before the Rangers had a chance. That kind of swagger is endearing for a second-round pick.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6e\">Scouting reports highlight Prokhorov\u2019s physical dominance, strong net-front presence, and a nose for scoring in tight areas. While he isn\u2019t yet known for creative playmaking or elite skating, the raw tools are there. His upside as a middle-six power forward, with finishing ability and a physical edge, makes him a valuable long-term project for the Islanders.  With <strong>Matthew Schaefer<\/strong> and <strong>Victor Eklund<\/strong> grabbing the headlines, Prokhorov\u2019s progress might fly under the radar for now. But suppose he can carve out a role in the KHL and continue to refine his game.
