{"id":1005096,"date":"2026-08-16T20:30:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T20:30:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1005096\/"},"modified":"2026-08-16T20:30:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T20:30:11","slug":"search-continues-for-serval-loose-in-grundy-county-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1005096\/","title":{"rendered":"Search continues for serval loose in Grundy County \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities in Grundy County are still attempting to trap a serval that\u2019s been on the loose for several days. <\/p>\n<p>According to the Grundy County Animal Control, the wild cat has been sighted multiple times in rural areas near the community of Gardner, but attempts to trap the animal have thus far been unsuccessful. <\/p>\n<p>Authorities have been in contact with the animal\u2019s owner, and members of the public are asked not to approach the animal if it is spotted. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.awf.org\/wildlife-conservation\/serval%20\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">According to the African Wildlife Foundation,<\/a> servals are native to Africa, but can be held in captivity elsewhere.
