{"id":1005180,"date":"2026-08-16T21:25:16","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T21:25:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1005180\/"},"modified":"2026-08-16T21:25:16","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T21:25:16","slug":"police-arrest-six-teenage-e-bike-riders-after-pursuit-in-adelaide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1005180\/","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest six teenage e-bike riders after pursuit in Adelaide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Six teenage e-bike riders have been arrested on dangerous driving charges after a pursuit across Adelaide&#8217;s CBD involving a police helicopter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police say they were called to West Terrace just after 11:30am yesterday following reports that a group of riders were damaging vehicles, blocking traffic and riding recklessly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Patrols tracked the group to Victoria Park, where they were allegedly involved in several near misses with pedestrians and were observed driving through red lights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">A PolAir helicopter was eventually dispatched and officers arrested a youth just after 12:30pm inside a car park at Addie Place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Two other riders were intercepted in the western suburbs, including one near Adelaide Airport after he abandoned his vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police said three more riders were arrested at a home in Malvern.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Investigations are continuing to identify others involved.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"An e-bike with the numbers 42 printed under the handlebar.\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/07f4beaa2ed94ed9cf8e28312e347bfc.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">SA Police impounded the bikes for 28 days.
