Garcia, Fort Worth Report <br \/>August 16, 2026<\/p>\n<p>A Grand Prairie-based aviation and defense company is planning a significant expansion to keep with growth.<\/p>\n<p>Safran Electronics &amp; Defense, Avionics USA LLC \u2014 a subsidiary of French global technology and aerospace giant Safran Group \u2014 plans to remodel its 22,358-square-foot Tarrant County facility at 2802 Safran Drive near the Grand Prairie Municipal Airport. The company makes air control systems.<\/p>\n<p>Construction is set to begin in September on the $1.3 million project, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026027497\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">state filing<\/a>. The remodel is expected to be completed by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Safran reported that its revenue for the first half of 2026 was up 19% from the same time period in 2025. Revenue this year so far is over 17,571 billion euros \u2014 about $20.2 billion in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Growth was reported in several sectors, including a nearly 28% increase in sales of aircraft engine spare parts, a 14% rise in defense and flight control systems and about 7% boost in sales of aircraft interiors.<\/p>\n<p>Safran Group CEO Oliver Andri\u00e8s said the company had significant sales in early 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuoyed by strong demand for civil engine spare parts, Safran delivered an outstanding first half in 2026, outperforming expectations and achieving record profitability with an 18.4% margin, up by 140 basis points, and very strong cash generation of \u20ac2.6 billion,\u201d Andri\u00e8s said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Safran will \u201ccontinue to expand our production capabilities to support rising customer demand across both civil aerospace and defense activities. Building on our excellent first-half results, we are raising our full-year outlook across the board.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s goal by 2028 is to target \u201csustainable growth in earnings and cash flow, ensuring a fair return to shareholders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Near the Grand Prairie electronics and defense subsidiary on Forum Drive is the 152,000-square-foot facility of Safran Helicopter Engines USA that employs 340 workers and produces aircraft engines.<\/p>\n<p>Eric E.
