El Nin\u0303o has struck The San Diego.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"gnt_em_img_i\" style=\"height:570px\" fetchpriority=\"high\" data-g-r=\"lazy\" data-gl-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/91325841007-wahoo-2.jpg\" data-gl- decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Wahoo displayed after catch off San Diego.\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Southern California vessels are currently targeting dorado, or mahimahi, and yellowfin tuna in offshore waters that are running into the mid-70s in some areas. Both species are encountered only when surface temperatures are unusually warm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ftw.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/outdoors\/2026\/08\/14\/hammerhead-shark-malibu-pier-rare-sighting-el-nino\/91303723007\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RELATED: El Nin\u0303o surprise?
