Because of Operation Metro Booming, a Jacksonville motel was busted for drug sales.<\/p>\n

For years, Jacksonville officers have responded to repeated calls for service at the Metro Inn on Golfair Boulevard involving drug activity, violence, thefts, and other criminal behavior, according to local law enforcement.<\/p>\n

In January 2026, the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office Narcotics Unit launched a long-term undercover investigation into drug sales at the Brentwood-area property. Over several months, undercover detectives purchased synthetic drugs known as \u201cFlakka\u201d from individuals selling out of the motel.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office made 11 arrests: 44-year-old Zabarin Love, 37-year-old Shameka Reed, 38-year-old Marquis Williams, 32-year-old Kayla Dixon, 21-year-old Daniel White, 32-year-old Waymond Hamilton, 37-year-old Tiffany Charles, 37-year-old Michael Handy, 31 year-old Alea Smith, 36-year-old Shatoria Harrison, and 48-year-old Troyane Pinkard.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese arrests have disrupted drug activity at this problem property, but our work isn\u2019t finished,\u201d the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office posted. \u201cWe remain committed to holding drug dealers accountable and making our neighborhoods safer. One of our lead detectives on the case remembered the problems from when he was a patrol officer and made it his personal mission to clean up the trouble spots.\u201d<\/p>\n

Operation Metro Booming is another example of the tireless work to shut down drugs activity and other crime in the community.<\/p>\n
