Humidity levels in Arizona have been running low"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 While the temperature trend is going up, humidity has been trending downward lately, you\u2019ve probably felt the dryness in the air! <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Dew points measure the amount of moisture in the atmosphere. Here in Arizona, we generally start to notice the humidity when dew points rise into the mid-50s or higher.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Because July occurs during the monsoon, dew points often rise into the upper 50s, 60s, and sometimes, even the 70s. However, the past few days have been quite dry, and we\u2019ve spent quite a bit of time with dew points in the 20s, 30s, and 40s. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">As of Monday morning, this month has posted an average dew point of around 50. That\u2019s quite a bit lower than July 2024, when the average dew point was 57. Interestingly, July 2023 was similar to this year, while July 2022 was a bit stickier with an average dew point of 56.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"July Humidity in Phoenix\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/6ACUAXJ6ZVEYPGLYER75DPP4IY.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>July Humidity in Phoenix(3TV\/CBS 5)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Lower dew points indicate that monsoon moisture is scarce, which means rain chances are slim. However, there is a positive side to low dew points; the dry atmosphere allows overnight low temperatures to sink to more comfortable levels. The normal low temperature for this time of year is 85 degrees. Notice how we were three degrees below normal on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Phoenix Low Temperatures\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/UP2FLZ3SCJHIHHPMRMBAWOWU4U.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Phoenix Low Temperatures(3TV\/CBS 5)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Monday morning\u2019s low was around normal, and we are forecasting a low Tuesday morning that is just above normal. However, notice in the graphic that there are no overnight lows in the 90s; that\u2019s a good thing!<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">As monsoon moisture tries to work its way back in, the humidity may rise by the middle and end of the week.
