Not all of us want to be\u00a0Meryl Streep, we just like watching her, OK? I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t want to be in a movie,\u2019 but they were like, \u2018Yeah, but you won.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018And I feel like I\u2019m losing? It doesn\u2019t feel quite like a win.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Clarkson starred opposite\u00a0\u201cAmerican Idol\u201d\u00a0season one runner-up Justin Guarini in the musical, which hit theaters shortly after she became the reality competition\u2019s inaugural winner. The movie followed two young people who meet and fall for each other while on spring break.<\/p>\n

More than two decades later,\u00a0Clarkson made clear\u00a0she isn\u2019t looking back at the project through rose-colored glasses.<\/p>\n
After a fan at the concert defended the film, Clarkson joked that the audience member was watching it with \u201cloving eyes,\u201d before offering her own decidedly less flattering assessment: \u201cIt\u2019s s\u2014.\u201d<\/p>\n
And her two children apparently won\u2019t get the chance to judge her performance for themselves anytime soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is funny though, like, my kids, I\u2019ve banned them from watching,\u201d Clarkson admitted.<\/p>\n

Despite her feelings about the\u00a0film, the singer said the experience wasn\u2019t entirely negative.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe music part, that was fun,\u201d she said. \u201cSee? You gotta find the positive, motherf\u2014ers, you know? Turn that s\u2014 into lemonade \u2026 and cry yourself to sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n
