It sounds like before the New Jersey Devils<\/a> decided on their three goaltenders after adding David Rittich, they were looking overseas at a rather successful KHL goaltender. <\/p>\n

That could be something to keep an eye on as I\u2019m sure they\u2019ll continue to keep tabs on the Russian netminder. More on that below.<\/p>\n

Pro Hockey Rumors:<\/strong> Russian goalie Alexander Smolin revealed the New Jersey Devils<\/a> were among the NHL clubs that showed interest this summer, adding another name to the quiet goaltending chatter.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcfa Devils Rink Report<\/strong>: The Devils\u2019 blue line is largely unchanged this season with the exception of Simon Nemec\u2019s departure. It\u2019s especially surprising given Dougie Hamilton wasn\u2019t expected to be in New Jersey next season.
