Tottenham have accepted a season-long loan offer with option to buy from Juventus for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario<\/strong>, who is set to return to Italy after two seasons at Spurs.<\/p>\n

Tottenham will go into the new season with Antonin Kinsky<\/strong> as their No. 1 after his impressive end to last season, with Roberto De Zerbi approving Vicario\u2019s departure. <\/p>\n

Juventus, meanwhile, moved to compete a deal for the Italian Vicario after talks with Aston Villa to sign Emiliano Martinez <\/strong>broke down last night, amid conerns surrounding Martinez due to a finger injury. <\/p>\n

Martinez is no longer the No 1 choice at Aston Villa after Unai Emery\u2019s side beat Paris Saint-Germain to the signing of Japan international goalkeeper Zion Suzuki<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta said he wanted to include Gabriel Martinelli, Ethan Nwaneri and Gabriel Jesus<\/strong> in his squad for the Community Shield – but couldn\u2019t because of squad size restrictions. <\/p>\n

All three players have been linked with a move away this summer and were not in Arsenal\u2019s 20-man squad to face Manchester City in Cardiff. Arteta said afterwards that all three are \u201cvery important\u201d. <\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt’s really sad not to have their availability. I’ve been fighting with the Premier League to extend and accommodate more players in the squad because they deserve to be in the squad, there’s no question.<\/p>\n

“Ethan [Nwaneri] and Marli [Salmon] as well, who has had the whole pre-season with us. Hopefully we can change that rule so players can enjoy on the pitch and can be an option to play and contribute to the team going forward.”<\/p>\n

Ispwich have now announced the signings of Julio Enciso<\/strong> and Abdoul Ouattara <\/strong>from Strasbourg. Both players played under Gary O\u2019Neil last season at the French club. <\/p>\n

Enciso, 22, spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan from Brighton, while Ouattara, 20, is a versatile player who can play at full-back or midfield. Both players have signed five-year deals. <\/p>\n

“I am so happy to be back at Ipswich Town,” Encisco. “I really enjoyed my time on loan at the club and I was so happy to see them win promotion back to the Premier League last season. I worked with the manager in France last season and the chance to play for him again at a great club like Ipswich is one I\u2019m very excited for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barcelona had two previous offers for Rodri refused with City deeming the first, of just \u00a338.4m, not serious but their third bid matched City\u2019s valuation.<\/p>\n

Rodri, who had been reluctant to sign a new deal, has entered the last year of his contract and City risked losing him on a free transfer if he was not sold this summer.<\/p>\n

Rodri, who was a club record \u00a361m buy when he joined City in 2019, has scored 28 goals in 298 appearances for them, including the only goal in the 2023 Champions League final.<\/p>\n

He won 11 trophies in total, including the Premier League four times, as well as the Ballon d’Or in 2024.<\/p>\n

Ipswich Town are close to completing the signing of Julio Enciso from Strasbourg, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic. <\/p>\n

Enciso, the Paraguay international and former Brighton forward, spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at the Portman Road club when they were last in the Premier League. <\/p>\n

Brighton sold Enciso to French club Strasbourg, the sister club of Chelsea, where the 22-year-old worked under new Ipswich boss Gary O\u2019Neil. Enciso is set to sign a five-year contract after the clubs agreed a \u00a330m fee. <\/p>\n

O\u2019Neill is also set to sign one of his former players from Strasbourg. Abdoul Ouattara, the 20-year-old midfielder, is also set to join Ipswich in a \u00a320m deal. <\/p>\n

Chelsea want to resolve Enzo Fernandez<\/strong>\u2019s future before their opening game of the Premier League season. <\/p>\n

Talks are ongoing with the Argentina international, with Manchester City interested in signing the midfielder after agreeing to sell Rodri to Barcelona. <\/p>\n

Chelsea had set a deadline of Friday for bids Fernandez, but that passed without City submitting an offer. <\/p>\n

Fernandez was then booed by some Chelsea fans as he made his first appearance at Stamford Bridge since the summer. <\/p>\n

Chelsea play Fulham at Craven Cottage on Monday, with the transfer window closing the following Tuesday on 1 September. <\/p>\n

City have entered \u201cadvanced talks\u201d to sign 18-year-old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi <\/strong>from Lille for around \u00a385m. <\/p>\n

But they are set to sell Tijjani Reijnders<\/strong> for \u00a351m and Enzo Maresca is keen to reunite with Fernandez as he continues City\u2019s midfield rebuild. <\/p>\n

The Turkish club are determined to sign a star this summer, following a busy transfer window for their rivals Fenerbahce and Besiktas, and are lining up a comprehensive financial package for the 31-year-old midfielder. <\/p>\n

United\u2019s stance is that Fernandes is not for sale. United will return to the Champions League this season after Fernandes broke the record for Premier League assists last campaign. <\/p>\n

The Portuguese has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford, but there is an option to extend for another year, and Fernandes would not be allowed to leave in the week before the season starts. <\/p>\n
