Click here to watch<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The crash happened Saturday at about 4:30 a.m. southbound Interstate 55 at Wentworth Avenue, police said. That&#8217;s near the city&#8217;s Bridgeport neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Armando Gonzalez Vargas, 20 of Chicago, was arrested and charged in the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Police said Gonzalez Vargas was driving a white GMC and crashed into the rear of an SUV, causing the GMC to run off the roadway and hit a concrete median barrier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The passenger of the GMC died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Gonzalez Vargas, was taken to an area hospital with injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The driver and passenger of the SUV were also transported to an area hospital with injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Gonzalez Vargas was released from the hospital and taken into custody.
