Individual in ‘Chucky’-style mask accused of harassing people near Philadelphia City Hall<\/p>\n

Police are searching for a masked individual who allegedly chased, threatened, and harassed people near Philadelphia City Hall last Wednesday morning. <\/p>\n

The suspect, wearing a “Chucky”-style Halloween mask, was first spotted near 15th and Chestnut streets around 5:18 a.m., police said.<\/p>\n

Investigators said he ran up to people to scare them while holding up a cellphone, indicating he was filming. <\/p>\n

Women chased and threatened<\/p>\n

Police said the man also entered a nearby Dunkin’, where employees refused to serve him because of the mask.<\/p>\n

He allegedly chased, cornered, and threatened a woman who was jogging, and blocked another woman’s path while repeatedly asking, “Are you ready to die?”<\/p>\n

The second woman ran away screaming for help and injured her leg. <\/p>\n

The suspect was last seen entering Suburban Station at 5:35 a.m., police said. <\/p>\n

“He’s wearing all black with a mask, a scary mask, so you can’t see any of his identifying features. He just comes up and terrorizes people,” said Kate Egan, who works in the area. <\/p>\n

Police described the suspect as a thin Black male, between 16 and 20 years old, and about 5 feet 8 inches.<\/p>\n
