The Iowa State Fair<\/a>\u2019s iconic butter cow sculpture<\/a> is back, and Sarah Pratt is celebrating 20 years as its sculptor. Pratt said the sculpture, located inside the Agriculture Building across from the Iowa Pork Tent, takes about 80 hours to create, depending on the year. <\/p>\n She said her inspiration for this year\u2019s sculpture centers on America\u2019s 250th birthday while also honoring all the people who help make the State Fair possible. <\/p>\n \u201cIt is a huge honor. It is one of my favorite exhibits,” Pratt said. “My kids have grown up being part of it, and it\u2019s just a huge honor being a part of this lovely tradition.\u201d<\/p>\n This year\u2019s cooler also features a butter Pepsi Clock, a replica of the iconic State Fair landmark that spins just like the original on the Grand Concourse. <\/p>\n Where will KCCI be at the fair?<\/p>\n You can see KCCI 8 News live at 4:30 p.m. every weekday during the fair from the MidAmerican Energy Stage.<\/p>\n You can also stream KCCI 8\u2019s coverage of the Iowa State Fair for free on the Very Local app<\/a>.
