It is the same apartment where 34-year-old Brittany Gamble\u2019s body was found in November. The charge is not directly connected to Gamble\u2019s death, but her family says it is a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">KPRC 2 News reporter Corley Peel has been following this case for months. This is the first time Greer has been publicly identified, because until now, no arrests had been made and Greer had not publicly been named as a suspect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Gamble\u2019s sister, Rebekah Falke, told Corley she is relieved to hear about Greer\u2019s arrest. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 etvbxt font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Stack-vJ7SwH7U__StackBase-sc-1m5bkhd-0 evEXvX dsnUCb\"\/><\/ul>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cHe\u2019s off the street. He is off the street for now. He can\u2019t do this to someone else,\u201d Falke said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">KPRC 2 News obtained a first look inside Greer\u2019s apartment, showing a damaged door, scattered clothing and clutter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The investigation into Greer started in November 2025 when Facebook Live video appeared to show Greer with Gamble after she left a Houston hospital. Falke says Gamble did not know Greer. Days later, Gamble\u2019s body was found inside his apartment. During that time, Greer allegedly posted videos of Gamble before and after her death, including footage that appears to show him sleeping next to her body and placing a ball of her hair near a Bible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cShe had zero dignity in the last days of her life. It\u2019s truly, truly unfair,\u201d Falke said.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 etvbxt font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Stack-vJ7SwH7U__StackBase-sc-1m5bkhd-0 evEXvX dsnUCb\"\/><\/ul>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The Harris County Medical Examiner ruled Gamble\u2019s cause and manner of death as undetermined. Houston Police initially closed the case without criminal charges before reopening the investigation in May following questions from the family and KPRC 2 News. <\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">In July, records show police returned to Greer\u2019s apartment after someone called 911 saying they saw a different unresponsive woman on his Facebook Live. Video posted on Greer\u2019s Facebook Page shows his exchange with the officers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cYou had someone dying in here,\u201d an officer said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cWhen?\u201d Greer responded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cYou\u2019ve got people watching your Facebook Lives saying a female is passed out or unconscious,\u201d the officer said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">A second officer added: \u201cYou\u2019re doing creepy stuff, recording videos of girls sleeping.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Greer replied: \u201cI wake them up so they can see they\u2019re responsive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">HPD confirmed the woman inside was alive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Greer has a criminal history and court records show Greer was previously charged with murder in a 2013 case involving a woman whose body was found dumped in a ditch. Those murder charges were later dismissed, but Greer was convicted of tampering with evidence involving a human corpse and served seven years in prison. He is currently in the Harris County Jail on the criminal mischief charge with a $15,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Falke says she hopes the arrest is just the beginning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cI\u2019m hoping that some accountability is brought to Brittany\u2019s case. Maybe there\u2019s some closure where her family can kind of move through that grief cycle,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Houston Police have not charged Greer in connection with Gamble\u2019s death.
