\n\tVin Diesel<\/a> says filming for \u201cFast Forever<\/a>\u201d has a start date.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe start shooting in December, if I can make good on the request from the studio,\u201d Diesel told Variety Monday night at the 25th anniversary screening of \u201cThe Fast and the Furious<\/a>.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m in a good place, though. I had to go through four sets of writers, four years of development, to get to something that I felt would be worthy of a finale. And when I read the script a couple of weeks ago, [I cried].\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tInside the screening, Diesel addressed the audience before the lights dimmed and shared more details about how the \u201cFast Forever\u201d script brought him to tears.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m going to tell you something personal,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was after four different writers, four years of development, and after I read the script, halfway through, one tear. By the end of the script that we crafted and worked so hard to make right for you after four years, I was crying. I couldn\u2019t hold it back, and I had to tell everyone<\/a>. And my sister said, \u2018No more crying, bro.\u2019 So I just want to say that sometimes, even the toughest guys in the world need to cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFast Forever,\u201d the 11th and final mainline film in the series, hits theaters on March 17, 2028.<\/a> \u201cFast & Furious\u201d is Universal\u2019s longest-running franchise and its most profitable, with a combined worldwide gross of $7.3 billion.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Diesel is all in on the latest \u201cFast Forever\u201d draft, director Louis Leterrier recently told Polygon that he\u2019s yet to read the script.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019d love to tell you the full truth, but I can\u2019t,\u201d Leterrier said. \u201cThere will be an ending, and it\u2019s great. I was very, very lucky to be part of the franchise, and I love Vin and I love Universal. They\u2019re great to work with. So yeah. We\u2019ll see, hopefully.\u201d<\/p>\n
