There is still a chance that Enzo Fernandez leaves Chelsea this summer despite the club setting a deadline for teams to make a bid of the midfielder. <\/p>\n

Manchester City are the most interested party and let Chelsea\u2019s deadline (Friday last week at 5pm) slip by. Since then Rodri has agreed a move to Barcelona so there is a gap in City\u2019s midfield. <\/p>\n

City boss Enzo Maresca is a big fan of Fernandez having managed him at Chelsea and will look to bring in a replacement for Rodri. <\/p>\n

According to The Telegraph Chelsea\u2019s price for the Argentina will be above the \u00a3120m they were asking for by the deadline they set. If he were to leave the Blues would need to find a replacement of their own and Alex Scott of Bournemouth is on their radar. <\/p>\n

The Cherries have already rejected one bid from Chelsea and Scott is also being looked at by Arsenal and Manchester United. <\/p>\n

Kevin Lamour, the Fifa official who criticised Gianni Infantino’s leadership and voted against the Fifa Forward Enterprise proposal, has left the global governing body.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old had been working as chief operating officer, the position from which he told Associated Press on 31 July that Fifa staff had been “deceived” by Infantino regarding the plan.<\/p>\n

A statement from the body read: “Fifa can confirm that the working relationship between Fifa and Kevin Lamour as Fifa\u2019s Chief Operating Officer has ended on 17 August 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cFifa thanks Kevin for his two years of service and wishes him the best of luck for the future.<\/p>\n

Todd Boehly is open to selling his stake in Chelsea to majority owners Clearlake Capital.<\/p>\n

The Financial Times reported on Monday that Chelsea chairman Boehly and director Mark Walter were in talks to sell their 12.8 per cent stakes to Clearlake, who are led by Behdad Eghbali.<\/p>\n

Rumours of a rift between Boehly and Eghbali, whose Clearlake owns 61.5 per cent take, first surfaced in 2024 and it was reported the pair had explored how they could buy the other out.<\/p>\n

Walter is reportedly also selling the Los Angeles Lakers to former Disney CEO Bob Iger and venture capitalist Josh Kushner for a record-breaking $12.5bn, a year after buying a majority stake.<\/p>\n

Hansjorg Wyss also owns a 12.8 per cent stake in Chelsea but reports indicated that the Swiss billionaire\u2019s position is unclear. Chelsea declined to comment.<\/p>\n
