There’s even a new bar taking shape right around where the tornado touched down, and it’s a concept that will soon open its doors to broken-hearted patrons, inviting them to sing their feelings away.

Sala de Despecho is an international chain of bars that blends cocktails with singing in a different way than your average karaoke bar, letting folks belt out their emotions to Latin breakup songs as they imbibe. The San Antonio location at the Rim will be Sala de Despecho’s first. The company announced the move in an Instagram post on July 21.

MySA visited the site after making attempts to contact Sala de Despecho via phone and social media, to no avail. The exterior appeared mostly installed, including the bar’s sign, but at least one worker was seen assembling and installing fixtures and decor.

Sala de Despecho got its start in Guadalajara, Mexico, and has expanded globally in recent years. As of Monday, August 17, the heartbreak lounge can be found in Mexico, Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, the United States, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Ecuador, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. The concept also hosts pop-ups in select cities.

MySA has not been able to confirm when Sala de Despecho will open, but we will reach back out to the business in the coming weeks. Once it opens, you can find the new bar in the former home of Salsita and Tiago’s Cabo Grille.

Find it: 17703 La Cantera Pkwy, San Antonio, TX 78257

It’s been more than a month since a tornado plowed through The Rim Shopping Center, but the San…

[5133
5229,37066,37065,7202,7203,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
post-1008530","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-san-antonio","tag-america","tag-mysafood","tag-mysastaff","tag-san-antonio","tag-sanantonio","tag-texas","tag-tx","tag-united-states","tag-united-states-of-america","tag-unitedstates","tag-unitedstatesofamerica","tag-us","tag-usa
["GET
