Voters will also consider the propositions which total an estimated $600 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The proposals include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 etvbxt font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Stack-vJ7SwH7U__StackBase-sc-1m5bkhd-0 evEXvX dsnUCb\">\n<p><b>A VATRE (Voter Approval Tax Rate Election):<\/b> This would raise the tax rate by 3.17 cents, which is expected to generate $5.5 million for college-readiness, career-readiness and efforts to recruit teachers. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Stack-vJ7SwH7U__StackBase-sc-1m5bkhd-0 evEXvX dsnUCb\">\n<p><b>Proposition A \u2014 $492 million:<\/b> The largest portion of the bond would fund school modernization, capital system replacements and safety and security upgrades. Projects would include renovations to learning spaces, as well as replacing chillers and boilers, plumbing and utilities, roofs and windows. The proposal also includes funding for a new bus fleet with three-point seat belts, a police fleet to support campus safety and district patrols, additional site lighting, security fencing, vestibules, fire alarm systems, emergency indicators and enhancements to increase Americans with Disabilities Act standards. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Stack-vJ7SwH7U__StackBase-sc-1m5bkhd-0 evEXvX dsnUCb\">\n<p><b>Proposition B \u2014 $102 million: <\/b>This proposition would fund information technology improvements districtwide.
