Mirra Andreeva looks destined for greatness as her career progresses, and it feels certain that Grand Slam wins will come her way. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The 18-year-old has already reached the semifinals of the French Open<\/a> and made the quarters at Wimbledon<\/a> earlier this month. <\/p>\n

Andreeva has won three career titles so far in her young career, with the Montreal Open<\/a> the next tournament that she\u2019s chosen to enter. <\/p>\n

Ahead of her first round clash against Bianca Andreescu, Andreeva<\/a> has been discussing her role models and also what life is like on tour with her sister, Erika Andreeva. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s always pretty textbook stuff to hear tennis players who are new on the tour pick which players they look up to or looked up to when they were coming up through the ranks. <\/p>\n

Andreeva is perhaps not going against the grain by picking two of the most influential players in women\u2019s tennis, as well as delivering a glowing reference on her sister. <\/p>\n

She said in her press conference: \u201cObviously, I watched a lot of Maria Sharapova playing and Serena.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really liked the way that Simona Halep played. I got to practice with her just once at the end of last year, so for me it was like a surreal experience to hit with a woman and a player that I really liked to watch when she played.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I would say these three were the players that I was looking up to.\u201d<\/p>\n

On her sister, she\u2019s given her much of the credit for her career taking shape in the manner it has. <\/p>\n

The teenager continued: \u201cI can say that if she wasn\u2019t playing tennis or my sister, I don\u2019t think I would be here this fast.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe played so many tournaments that I didn\u2019t play, she showed me the way, and I saved time during my career, only playing the most important tournaments to help earn more points and rise up the rankings a little faster.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf she wasn\u2019t playing tennis, I probably would be top 200 or something like this, so I am super grateful she was leading the way for me throughout my whole life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Andreeva is destined to win a Grand Slam title<\/p>\n

Right now, the talented teenager is busy finding her feet, and her record at Grand Slam tournaments is still pretty good. <\/p>\n

Andreeva is supremely talented and as the world number five, there is no reason why she wouldn\u2019t keep reaching the latter stages of the big tournaments. <\/p>\n

The 18-year-old has bags of time on her side, and it\u2019s quite remarkable that she\u2019s already reached the last four of one of the game\u2019s biggest events. <\/p>\n
