The second round of CNET\u2019s Big Guessing Game: Apple Edition<\/a> was a wild success, and we\u2019re moving on to the third and final round. The prize? The latest Apple Watch. The challenge? Predict what the maker of iPhones, Macs, Siri and the Apple Vision Pro will show off at the company\u2019s biggest event of the year.<\/p>\n

Round 3 begins today and runs until 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 1. This set of predictions focuses entirely on Apple\u2019s biggest day of the year, the early-September launch event for the next iPhone. There\u2019s a lot of anticipation for the first event, which will see an outing from new CEO John Ternus<\/a> and the potential debut of a foldable iPhone, nicknamed the iPhone Ultra<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Accordingly, the third round\u2019s questions will center on all the things we don\u2019t know. Will outgoing CEO Tim Cook join Ternus on stage? And what price will Apple set for its first foldable, should it come out?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The initial rounds of CNET\u2019s Big Guessing Game were plenty of fun. In Round 1<\/a>, we had readers predict what would happen during Apple\u2019s midyear WWDC conference. That threw a few curveballs everyone\u2019s way \u2014 96% of guessers thought that Ternus would speak, and he didn\u2019t, leaving the stage for the outgoing Tim Cook<\/a>. The biggest outlier? Only one person correctly called that the next MacOS update would be named \u201cGolden Gate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Round 2<\/a> was aimed at lining up everyone\u2019s guesses for the products coming at Apple\u2019s annual September event. Over three quarters of readers (77%) predicted that Apple will debut its first foldable phone at the event, following plenty of rumors suggesting the same. Just over half (51%) think Apple will announce its first pair of smart glasses, though the rumor mill is much quieter on that prediction.<\/p>\n

How many iPhones will be revealed? Will there be an Apple Watch 4 at the event? Will Ternus end his first big-time event with a \u201cOne More Thing\u201d \u2014 and what will it be? Guess correctly and that brand-new Apple Watch could be yours.<\/p>\n
