While they’re still near the bottom of the East, they’re just five points out from the playoff line, meaning every result from this point will impact their pursuit of a postseason berth.

Their most recent three-point outing came on Sunday against New York City FC, erasing a two-goal deficit for a 3-2 win on the road at Yankee Stadium. A second-half opener from Danley Jean Jacques and a brace from Bruno Damiani by way of assists from the Sullivan brothers secured their second straight comeback.

      Next up, Miami

Next up, they’ll take on Inter Miami – a team that’s been in the Major League Soccer spotlight since Lionel Messi’s signing in 2023.

As it stands, they side from South Florida sits at 2nd in the Eastern Conference with 38 points – five behind first-place Nashville SC who bullied them to a 4-1 loss at Geodis Park on Saturday. Telasco Segovia scored in first half stoppage to make it 1-1, but three unanswered goals from BJ Callaghan’s side secured all three points for Nashville. Milan Iloski gave Philly a two-goal lead in the first 10 minutes of the May 24th match at Nu Stadium in the sunshine state, but the match ultimately unfolded into a 6-4 barnburner in favor of the hosts. The match was former Union Head Coach Bradley Carnell’s last – former Union player turned academy coach, first team assistant, and most recently Union II Head Coach Ryan Richter has since taken over as the team’s interim, winning his first four matches at the helm for a Union coaching record.

      Monitoring Messi

Leo Messi played in Inter Miami’s most recent game, making an emotional return to play less than one week after his father, Jorge, passed away.
