Wethersfield Police Department<\/a>, with assistance from the Glastonbury Police Department, received information that a suspect, identified as 41-year-old Precious Mills of Bronx, New York, may have allegedly committed a fraudulent transaction at the M&T Bank located at 1310 Silas Deane Highway after she was arrested for a similar incident in Glastonbury that same day, according to Wethersfield police.<\/p>\nAn investigation by the Wethersfield Police Department\u2019s Detective Bureau determined that Mills made a fraudulent withdrawal of $3,500 from M&T Bank on Dec. 6, 2024. \u201cAn arrest warrant application was submitted and approved by New Britain Superior Court with full extradition granted,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n
The New York Port Authority Police Department contacted Wethersfield Police Dispatch on Aug. 7 and reported that Mills was in custody and she would be incarcerated at Rikers Island.<\/p>\n
After Mills waived her extradition, members of the detective bureau took Mills into custody at Rikers Island, New York, on Tuesday and transported her back to Wethersfield police headquarters where she was charged with two counts of second-degree forgery, two counts of third-degree identity theft, two counts of criminal impersonation and one count of third-degree larceny.<\/p>\n
