Halfpoint \u2013 stock.adobe.com<\/p>\n<p>Only 44% of Gen Xers and 40% of baby boomers said the same. <\/p>\n<p>And around a quarter of surveyed millennials said they were worse off, compared to roughly a third of boomers and Gen X.<\/p>\n<p>Millennials are earning money at a faster pace \u2014 their net worth has grown 134% since 2021, versus 32% for boomers and 40% for Gex X, according a survey from the Fed Board of Governors.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re also turning to the stock market to generate wealth. <\/p>\n<p>In the first three months of 2026, Millennials owned about $4.94 trillion in stocks, according to federal data. <\/p>\n<p>But their overall net worth is still five times less than Boomers\u2019 \u2014 thanks to lagging in home ownership. <\/p>\n<p>Only 25% of Millennials own a home compared to about 40% of baby boomers, according to the National Association of Home Buyers.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"   data-modal-image=\"40397331\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/mature-asian-old-man-stressed-137810121.jpg\" alt=\"Boomers and gen x are feeling less confident, and their wealth isn't growing as fast as millennials'.\" class=\"wp-image-40397331\"\/>Boomers and gen x are feeling less confident, and their wealth isn\u2019t growing as fast as millennials\u2019.
