The Dallas Wings opened the season with high hopes after landing UConn star Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.<\/p>\n

Bueckers has shown flashes of her collegiate brilliance, having recently recorded three consecutive 20-point outings, but the Wings have nevertheless struggled to translate individual performances into wins.<\/p>\n

Currently, the team sits at 3-12 on the young season, holding the second-worst winning percentage (.200) in the WNBA and the worst record in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

While the Wings continue to try finding success on the court, the franchise made a big announcement on Monday, revealing that they have sold out all available tickets for Tuesday’s home game against the Atlanta Dream.<\/p>\n

Dallas secured its first home win of the season last week in an 80-71 victory against the Golden State Valkyries, one in which Bueckers led the way with 20 points, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, after back-to-back wins last week, the Wings fell 91-88 in overtime to the Washington Mystics on Sunday and are now nine wins behind the first-place Minnesota Lynx.<\/p>\n

Offensively, Dallas is scoring 82.3 points per game (sixth in the league) but remains one of the worst defensive teams in the WNBA, allowing 87.1 points per contest (11th).<\/p>\n

Remarkably, despite on-court struggles, the organization’s fan base has rallied, as evident by the latest announcement.<\/p>\n

Following Tuesday\u2019s matchup, Dallas hosts the Indiana Fever on Friday, then returns Saturday for a rematch against the Washington Mystics.<\/p>\n

For the Wings, the challenge now is matching that enthusiasm with on-court success.<\/p>\n
