TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The search continues for “Noah’s Ark,” a cast modernist sculpture by Tucson artist Charles Clement, which has been lost since 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation is asking residents if they have any information that can help bring the piece of Tucson’s public artwork back into the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Noah’s Ark” was originally installed in the Catalina Foothills School Administration Building in 1966 before it was moved to the Reid Park Zoo in 1985.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In 2011, the piece was moved to an outdoor storage area at the zoo where is remained until around February 2017. Officials said by 2018, “Noah’s Ark” was moved and its whereabouts have gone cold.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Anyone with information that can possibly help relocate the art piece can email info@preservetucson.org<\/a> or comment on Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation’s Facebook post<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Tucson Parks and Recreation, Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona and Reid Park Zoo are continuing to search for records and documentation that can help bring “Noah’s Ark” back to the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"TUCSON, Ariz.
