Maybe you\u2019re more of a riesling aficionado? Whatever your poison, there are eateries around the county ready to pour for you.<\/p>\n<p>Wine doesn\u2019t have to feel formal or inaccessible, so I\u2019ve made this week\u2019s column a mix of educational and extracurricular options so there\u2019s something for everyone, whether you\u2019re looking to expand your champagne knowledge or just want to spend an evening chatting with fellow prosecco lovers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve also come up with a quick joke for you that will make sense in a moment.<\/p>\n<p>What was the sommelier\u2019s favorite book? \u201cGrape Expectations.\u201d She tried \u201cThe Grapes of Wrath\u201d but didn\u2019t like it, for some raisin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m sorry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Italian vino and dinner at Acquario Italian Restaurant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For a full culinary experience, Acquario Italian Restaurant in Keller is having its <a href=\"https:\/\/acquariorestaurant.com\/keller-bear-creek-davis-boulevard-acquario-italian-restaurant-events\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Taste of Tuscany<\/a> dinner Aug. 26. The five courses kick off at 6 p.m. with a braised octopus in borlotti cream sauce and paired with Campo al Mare Vermentino white wine. Round 2 is crab and lobster ravioli in spicy brandy and cream sauce alongside Cabreo La Pietra chardonnay.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Risotto Padovana pasta with porcini mushrooms and chicken liver is served with Tenuta di Biserno Campo di Sasso Insoglio del Cinghiale super Tuscan red. The final savory is rosemary tagliata New York strip with roasted potatoes and a red wine reduction. The paired red is Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dessert is limoncello tartufo beside a sparkling sweet red.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8849 Davis Blvd., Suite 100, Keller; 817-431-8323<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wines on tap and bookish events at WineHaus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WineHaus is a boutique wine bar and shop with wines on tap, a selection of 3-ounce pour flights, beers, nontap wines and nonalcoholic spritzers. Their <a href=\"https:\/\/winehausfw.com\/menu\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">menu<\/a> shows light bar bites as charcuterie, spreads with crackers and chocolates.<\/p>\n<p>The watering hole also serves as the city\u2019s unofficial go-to spot for low-key bookish <a href=\"https:\/\/winehausfw.com\/haus-events\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">gatherings<\/a>. For example, there\u2019s the weekly silent book club meetings Tuesdays 5-9 p.m. where attendees bring a book, sip wine and chat \u2014 or don\u2019t \u2014 about their current reads. No assigned texts, just vino and vibes.<\/p>\n<p>Book lovers also might consider checking out their upcoming book and puzzle swap Aug. 22 from 2-6 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the swap, you can bring up to 20 used books and up to 5 puzzles anytime during opening hours the week prior to the Swap,\u201d according to the bar\u2019s events page. \u201cYou\u2019ll receive 1 ticket per book\/puzzle to then claim\u201d on Aug. 22.<\/p>\n<p>Those wanting to get more active can get tickets for their Wind Down Wednesday yoga class 6-7 p.m. Aug. 26. A $15 ticket buys guests a spot in the class and a glass of sparkling white wine. All yoga levels are welcome, but a ticket is required, according to their events page.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>1628 Park Place Ave., Fort Worth; 817-887-9101<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Champagne tasting at Ellerbe Fine Foods<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ellerbe Fine Foods will host their <a href=\"https:\/\/ellerbefinefoods.com\/mc-events\/champagne-educational-dinner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Champagne Educational Dinner<\/a> 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Sept. 10. The evening will highlight bottles from Skurnik Wines through four flights of 12 wines, \u201call offering an approachable education in the region, its producers and its methods,\u201d according to a news release. The menu and pricing hasn\u2019t been announced yet.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant on West Magnolia Avenue is known for its farm-to-table seasonal menu.
