It helps keep me grounded in Cowtown\u2019s cultural happenings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Last Friday, I drove to Sundance Square\u2019s Caravan of Dreams and explored stories stitched together in the gallery\u2019s latest exhibition, \u201cMerging Threads.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The show brings together San Francisco-based Arleene Correa Valencia and Dallas\u2019 Antonio Lechuga, known for their artworks made of fleece blankets and thread. Lechuga especially has made a name for himself in North Texas since rebuilding his practice after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.keranews.org\/news\/2026-02-05\/dallas-artist-shot-while-running-rebuilds-life\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>being shot in 2022<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Next time you have your own downtime during lunch, follow the invisible string into the downtown exhibition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/event\/merging-threads\/2026-08-19\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Explore how artists stitch their stories into art<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Curated by Fort Worth artist Maggie Adler, the exhibition explores themes of pride, grief and celebration. An opening reception is planned for 5 p.m. Sept. 19.
