The show will follow the cheerleaders during the 2026-27 season, including a new set of rookie candidates and some returning veterans. Season 4 is set for a 2027 premiere, according to a news release.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every season we get a little further past the performance and closer to the person,&#8221; director Greg Whiteley said in the release. &#8220;I\u2019m grateful we get another season to tell their stories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senior director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/2025\/06\/26\/qa-dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders-director-kelli-finglass-americas-sweethearts\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kelli Finglass<\/a> and head choreographer Judy Trammell will return to lead the 2026 squad.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re proud to continue to share their stories and artistry with audiences, inspiring the next generation of young performers all over the world to dream big and pursue their passions,&#8221; Finglass said in the release.<\/p>\n<p>The show&#8217;s third season came out in June 2026 and quickly found a big audience on Netflix, landing on the platform&#8217;s Global Top 10 for two weeks and charting in 22 countries. The season received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing For An Unstructured Reality Program.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>America&#8217;s Sweethearts has also helped grow the profile of individual dancers.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/arts-entertainment\/performing-arts\/article\/cowboys-cheeleader-reece-weaver-broadway-debut-22383550.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reece Weaver<\/a>, for example, was a fan favorite on the show who recently\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/arts-entertainment\/performing-arts\/article\/cowboys-cheeleader-reece-weaver-broadway-debut-22383550.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">landed the lead role<\/a> of Roxie Hart in the Broadway revival of\u00a0Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of Season 4&#8217;s premiere, you can catch the cheerleaders in action at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/cowboys\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Cowboys<\/a> home games this year, starting with the preseason finale on\u00a0Aug. 28 against the New Orleans Saints.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The squad&#8217;s popular reality show,\u00a0America&#8217;s Sweethearts, has been renewed for a fourth season, the streamer announced Thursday.
