{"id":1014615,"date":"2026-08-21T09:08:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T09:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1014615\/"},"modified":"2026-08-21T09:08:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T09:08:21","slug":"whats-next-for-new-braunfels-favorite-mini-golf-spot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1014615\/","title":{"rendered":"What\u2019s next for New Braunfels\u2019 favorite mini-golf spot?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What started in 2023 as a dream to bring affordable fun and a destination for true putting to New Braunfels has grown into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/lifestyle\/article\/i35-must-stops-austin-san-antonio-21164989.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Hill Country hangout<\/a> where visitors can play a round, take in the views and make memories with friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/entertainment\/article\/sip-n-putt-new-braunfels-17917699.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Sip N Putt <\/a>is leaving the place where it all began.<\/p>\n<p>The popular mini golf destination will close its original location in December before reopening at a new location in February 2027, the business confirmed to MySA.\u00a0The move was prompted by increasing rent at the current location, Sip N Putt said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re incredibly grateful for the support our community has shown us over the past three and a half years,&#8221; Sip N Putt tells MySA via email. &#8220;Everyone who has come out to enjoy the views, play a round, and make memories with us has helped make this next chapter possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While the original location is closing, the business plans to carry its signature 18-hole putting experience into its next chapter, with additional golf-related activities, food and beverages planned for the new location.<\/p>\n<p>Sip N Putt&#8217;s original course was designed around the natural elevation of the property, with beginner, intermediate and championship levels. Owner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/entertainment\/article\/sip-n-putt-new-braunfels-17917699.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Bret Shallenberger previously told MySA<\/a> that the concept was inspired in part by the realistic putting experience popularized by PopStroke and Tiger Woods.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There wasn\u2019t a big company or a big budget behind it,&#8221; the business wrote in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DcG7XnMxebg\/?hl=en\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">social media post announcing the move<\/a>. &#8220;There was an idea, a lot of hard work, and a belief that we could build something special for the Hill Country community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Over the past three and a half years, Sip N Putt has grown beyond its putting greens, becoming a destination where customers can enjoy Hill Country views, drinks and time with friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the business is taking that concept into a new home.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While moving an entire venue certainly isn\u2019t easy, we love what Sip N Putt has become for the Hill Country, and we\u2019re not ready to stop now,&#8221; the business said via email to MySA.<\/p>\n<p>The popular mini golf destination will close its original location at 7420 I-35 N.
