\n\tNetflix<\/a> has unveiled a first look at its upcoming \u201cPride and Prejudice<\/a>\u201d limited series and revealed its supporting cast as production begins in the U.K.<\/p>\n

\n\tJoining the Jane Austen adaptation are Rufus Sewell (\u201cThe Diplomat\u201d) as Mr. Bennet, Freya Mavor (\u201cIndustry\u201d) as Jane Bennet, Jamie Demetriou (\u201cStath Lets Flats\u201d) as Mr. Collins, Daryl McCormack (\u201cWake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery\u201d) as Mr. Bingley, Louis Partridge (\u201cHouse of Guinness\u201d) as Mr. Wickham, Rhea Norwood (\u201cHeartstopper\u201d) as Lydia Bennet, Siena Kelly (\u201cBlack Mirror\u201d) as Caroline Bingley and Fiona Shaw (\u201cKilling Eve\u201d) as Lady Catherine de Bourg. Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery make their debuts as Mary Bennet and Kitty Bennet, respectively.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther new cast members include Anjana Vasan (\u201cWe Are Lady Parts\u201d), Sebastian Armesto (\u201cGangs of London\u201d), Rosie Cavaliero (\u201cKAOS\u201d), Saffron Coomber (\u201cThree Little Birds and Die Zweiflers\u201d), James Dryden (\u201cDeadpool\u201d), Justin Edwards (\u201cThe Thick Of It\u201d), James Northcote (\u201cThe Last Kingdom\u201d), Eloise Webb (\u201cThe Queen\u2019s Gambit\u201d) and Isabella Sermon (\u201cJurassic World: Fallen Kingdom\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tThey join previously announced cast members Emma Corrin (\u201cNosferatu\u201d), Jack Lowden (\u201cSlow Horses\u201d) and Olivia Colman (\u201cThe Crown\u201d), who lead \u201cPride and Prejudice\u201d as Elizabeth Bennet, Mr. Darcy and Mrs. Bennet, respectively.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe six-part limited series promises a faithful adaptation of Austen\u2019s immortal 1813 novel from \u201cHeartstopper\u201d director Euros Lyn and screenwriter Dolly Alderton.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOnce in a generation, a group of people get to retell this wonderful story and I feel very lucky that I get to be a part of it,\u201d Alderton said in a statement. \u201cJane Austen\u2019s \u2018Pride and Prejudice\u2019 is the blueprint for romantic comedy \u2013 it has been a joy to delve back into its pages to find both familiar and fresh ways of bringing this beloved book to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tExecutive producers include Corrin, Laura Lankester, Dolly Alderton, Lyn and Will Johnston and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point.
