JSerra has pulled it off in girls\u2019 flag football. <\/p>\n<p>The Lions have won 36 consecutive games dating to last season, when they went 28-0 and won the Southern Section Division 1 championship.<\/p>\n<p>Lots of credit goes to coach Brian Ong, who started the program in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Despite losing the Division 1 player of the year, Ava Irwin, to Sierra Canyon, the Lions keep rolling with an 8-0 record this season. Quarterback Kate Meier, who was pretty good last season, is even better this season, and so are her receivers.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The JSerra Girls Flag Football team stretched its season-opening winning streak to eight straight games with a resounding 41-6 triumph over the Edison Chargers in a nonleague battle on Thursday at JSerra Catholic High School.<\/p>\n<p>JSerra has now won 36 straight games dating back to\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DFQwt5ICBB\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/DFQwt5ICBB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 JSerraAthletics (@JSerraAthletics) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JSerraAthletics\/status\/2090668024525427059?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">August 21, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But the defense has been particularly impressive.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s plenty of challenges ahead, but for now, JSerra has something good going in a sport that keeps attracting more and more fans.<\/p>\n<p>This is a daily look at the positive happenings in high school sports.
