The Spanish-based studio, founded in 2001, made a name for itself as a mobile developer and was <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/investor.activision.com\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/activision-acquires-mobile-game-developer-digital-legends\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">acquired by Activision<\/a> in 2021. Since then, it&#8217;s been assigned to multiple Call of Duty titles, including <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-series-x\/call_of_duty_black_ops_6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Black Ops 6<\/a>, <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-series-x\/call_of_duty_black_ops_7\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">7<\/a> and <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-one\/call_of_duty_warzone\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Warzone<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The studio has also <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Digital_Legends\/status\/2060042661159924083\" rel=\"nofollow\">shared an official announcement<\/a> about its work on the native version of Modern Warfare 4 for Switch 2:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Digital Legends Entertainment:<\/strong> &#8220;Breaking boundaries once again! Infinity Ward, in partnership with Digital Legends, is developing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 natively for Nintendo Switch 2, bringing the MW series to Nintendo players for the first time in more than a decade. More to come later this summer!&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Activision has already given select creators and outlets an opportunity to go hands on with the Switch 2 version of Modern Warfare 4 ahead of next week&#8217;s open beta, and the first impressions seem to be relatively positive.<\/p>\n<p>The open beta for Switch 2 gets underway on <strong>28th August 2026<\/strong> and will include the campaign mission &#8216;Entrenched&#8217; and multiplayer, including crossplay support.
