CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. \u2014 An American Airlines flight from Atlanta to Dallas-Fort Worth landed safely Friday after smoke was reported coming from a passenger\u2019s device during landing, the airline said.<\/p>\n

According to American Airlines, Flight 2398 was approaching Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport when crew members received reports of smoke coming from a passenger\u2019s device.<\/p>\n

The airline said the flight landed safely at the Dallas airport and taxied to the gate under its own power.<\/p>\n

Per standard procedure, emergency personnel met the plane upon arrival at the gate.<\/p>\n

American Airlines credited its crew for responding quickly to the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thank our crew for their professionalism and swift response to quickly contain the device,\u201d the airline said in a statement.<\/p>\n

One passenger received medical attention at the scene and was later released, according to the airline.<\/p>\n

Flight 2398 was a regularly scheduled American Airlines flight from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.<\/p>\n

The airline did not immediately provide additional details about the device or what caused it to emit smoke.<\/p>\n
