(Scott Nishimura | Fort Worth Report)<\/p>\n<p>Some details about the upcoming work:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Southbound and Northbound traffic shift<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Southbound Forest Hill will remain open, and traffic will shift onto temporary pavement.<\/li>\n<li>Northbound Forest Hill will remain on existing pavement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Northbound temporary closure and detour, off peak hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Traffic maintained during peak hours<\/li>\n<li>Two-way traffic will be restored during school drop-off\/pick-up times and daily peak traffic periods.<\/li>\n<li>Pedestrian, property, and emergency access will be maintained throughout construction with detours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Typical construction process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The city will notify residents by door hangers. Residents will be notified seven days in advance. Crews will replace driveways one half at a time and provide continuous access to the property. Construction will coordinate with residents if they cannot do it in halves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question: Will utility service be interrupted?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>City\u2019s answer:<\/strong> Utility adjustments will be required, but the city does not plan to interrupt water, electricity, communications or any other services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question: How will construction noise, dust, and debris be controlled?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>City\u2019s answer:<\/strong> The city\u2019s contractor will be required to follow city requirements for working hours, dust control, site maintenance and debris removal. The contractor will also maintain traffic-control devices and secure the work area outside working hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question: What happens if construction encounters unexpected conditions?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>City\u2019s answer:<\/strong> Unexpected utilities, weather, material availability, or field conditions could affect the schedule.
