{"id":1017382,"date":"2026-08-22T16:44:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T16:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1017382\/"},"modified":"2026-08-22T16:44:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T16:44:17","slug":"texicare-expands-san-antonio-provider-network-with-christus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1017382\/","title":{"rendered":"Texicare expands San Antonio provider network with CHRISTUS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Texicare, a health insurance company marketed toward local businesses, expanded its network in San Antonio as part of a new agreement with CHRISTUS Health.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local businesses who rely on Texicare will now have access to the hospital system\u2019s 29 clinic locations across Bexar and Comal counties. This includes primary care, emergency services, cardiology, orthopedics, neuroscience, pediatrics and women\u2019s health care.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Texicare, the health affiliate of Austin-based insurance company Texas Mutual, first expanded to San Antonio in 2025.\u00a0Texicare President and CEO Meredith Duncan said that San Antonio is one of the most active business markets in Texas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMany of those business owners struggle with accessing healthcare coverage, either because it\u2019s too expensive or difficult to use,\u201d she said. \u201cWe saw a clear opportunity to bring plans built specifically for Texas businesses to the owners and employees here who needed them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Texicare businesses can access CHRISTUS health services, a Catholic not-for-profit health system with international reach and more than 60 hospitals in Texas, <br \/>through three different health plans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWorking with Texicare extends [our] reach to business employees across the city, connecting more San Antonio families to the care and providers they can trust,\u201d said Chris Glenney, senior vice president and chief operating officer for U.S. Ministries at CHRISTUS Health.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/sanantonioreport.org\/author\/josh-archote\/\" rel=\"author nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Avatar photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/cropped-Josh-3-scaled-1-120x120.jpg\"  class=\"avatar avatar-120 photo\" height=\"120\" width=\"120\"\/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJosh Archote covers community health for the San Antonio Report.
