AHWATUKEE, AZ \u2014 As the five-year anniversary of a devastating Chandler strip mall explosion approaches, one of its survivors is turning his recovery journey into a fundraising effort for others.<\/p>\n

In August 2021, a leak in a nearby gas line led to an explosion at a Chandler strip mall, injuring and severely burning four men. Glenn Jordan was among those hurt.<\/p>\n

During his long recovery, Jordan found support through the Arizona Burn Foundation.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Jordan hosted a Pull Up Challenge at Hub Fitness in Ahwatukee to benefit the organization that helped him heal. You can watch more in the player above. <\/p>\n

Chandler business destroyed in 2021 explosion reopens today<\/p>\n
