IRVING, Texas<\/strong> – Irving police shot and wounded a woman who authorities said was armed with a knife and advancing toward officers during a domestic disturbance call on Friday evening.<\/p>\n What we know:<\/p>\n Irving police were called around 5:50 p.m. to the 300 block of Rolston Road, as officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman standing in the street with a knife and making threats.\u00a0<\/p>\n Officers gave her verbal commands, but she did not comply and continued moving toward them.<\/p>\n One officer used a less-lethal weapon, police said, but it did not stop the woman.
