ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) \u2013 Spectrum announced on Sunday that the Rochester Art Center has received $10,000 through the 2025-2026 Stand for The Arts Awards, through a partnership with Ovation TV. <\/p>\n
According to Spectrum, this partnership recognizes local arts, cultural and educational organizations and programs.<\/p>\n
Since this initiative started in 2017, the partnership has reportedly given out 90 awards, totaling around $900,000 towards arts education. <\/p>\n
\u201cLocal arts organizations like Rochester Art Center make a lasting difference in the communities we serve,\u201d Senior Vice President, State Government Affairs at Spectrum Adam Falk said. \u201cThrough our continued support of Ovation\u2019s Stand for The Arts Awards, we recognize the organizations and leaders expanding access to creative expression and cultural experiences across the country. These investments enrich neighborhoods and connect people in meaningful ways \u2013 which is at the core of what Spectrum does.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Rochester Art Center will reportedly use its funding to support artists and knowledge keepers who contributed to the exhibition Spirit Trees, which is a group exhibition celebrating how trees support life on the planet.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are deeply moved by this recognition, and we are proud to be in good company with nine other remarkable arts organizations across the country,\u201d Rochester Art Center Executive Director Pamela Caserta Hugdahl said. \u201cIt is an honor to know that our work to provide equity and access to community-driven programming and support for local artists is valued.\u201d<\/p>\n
Spectrum added that the Rochester Art Center is one of 10 organizations receiving support in Spectrum markets across the country. <\/p>\n
