EMS rushed him to Bellevue Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. Sources familiar with the investigation report that the victim was uncooperative with police.<\/p>\n<p>A worker at NYC Express Deli told amNewYork that he saw the man run across the street begging for help.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt looked like he was bleeding from the neck. Somebody helped him outside and got him a bandage,\u201d the deli worker said, who did not provide his name. \u201cI know the guy. He is a homeless guy who sits out front drinking. He is always here. He is here from when I start to when I leave. Yesterday I left at 3 a.m., and he was here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-137865793\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/7EB34216-7835-4836-8103-DB63D315EAB5.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5828\" height=\"4628\" title=\"Man slashed across face in broad daylight on Lower East Side 2\"  \/>A man was slashed across the face in a Lower East Side, broad daylight attack on Sunday, authorities said. Photo by Dean Moses<\/p>\n<p>Another witness at a next-door barbershop said he also sees the victim often.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know him personally, but he is always here. He was here all summer; he begs for money,\u201d the barber said.\n<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the suspect, who reportedly wielded some kind of sharp instrument, fled the scene. Police created a crime scene around the deli and the M15 bus stop.
