{"id":1020132,"date":"2026-08-24T02:02:59","date_gmt":"2026-08-24T02:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1020132\/"},"modified":"2026-08-24T02:02:59","modified_gmt":"2026-08-24T02:02:59","slug":"minnesota-tree-trimmer-charged-with-fatally-crushing-co-workers-head-with-hydraulic-grapple-while-f-king-around-on-job","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1020132\/","title":{"rendered":"Minnesota tree-trimmer charged with fatally crushing co-worker&#8217;s head with hydraulic grapple while &#8216;f\u2014king around&#8217; on job"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Minnesota tree trimmer allegedly killed his coworker by crushing his head with a hydraulic grapple while the two were \u201cf\u2014king around\u201d and playing shadow puppets on the job, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Boone Crimmins, 34, has been hit with second-degree manslaughter charges for allegedly killing his coworker, Tyler Anthony Lynch, 26, in a bloody mishap during a tree-trimming job in Apple Valley on Aug. 20, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dakotacountymn.gov\/government\/county-attorney\/news-releases\/manslaughter-charge-tree-trimming-incident\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Dakota County Attorney\u2019s Office. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Christopher Boone Crimmins, 34, has been charged with manslaughter for fatally crushing his coworker, Tyler Anthony Lynch, with a hydraulic grapple while playing shadow puppets on the job.  Dakota County Jail<\/p>\n<p>Crimmins was on top of a boom and operating it from his seat as Lynch, of Royalton, was picking up tree branches on the ground, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n<p>The pair were \u201cf\u2014king around\u201d and saw that the sunlight had cast a shadow of the grapple and the victim onto the street, Crimmins told officers, per the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Crimmins then jokingly maneuvered the hydraulic grapple to make it appear as though the shadow of the grapple was grabbing Lynch\u2019s shadow \u2014 but was not paying attention to the fact that the grapple had inched toward his coworker\u2019s head. <\/p>\n<p>Lynch, 26, was found lying on the ground with a large amount of blood and a \u201csignificant injury\u201d to his head.  Facebook\/Tyler Lynch<\/p>\n<p>Crimmins then closed the grapple, horrifically crushing Lynch\u2019s head, the filing said. <\/p>\n<p>Lynch was found by officers lying on the ground with a large amount of blood pooled around his body and \u201ca significant injury\u201d to his head.<\/p>\n<p>He was later pronounced dead, authorities said. <\/p>\n<p>Lynch frequently posted pictures and videos of his tree trimming jobs and inspirational quotes on Facebook. <\/p>\n<p>Crimmins said he and Lynch were \u201cf\u2014king around\u201d when the horrific accident occurred.
