AUG. 30 AT FLORIDA STATE: IS TY THE GUY?<\/p>\n
This is maybe the biggest question of the entire season. And since Ty Simpson<\/a> has never started\u00a0a game, we\u00a0need to see what it looks like before we know whether he’ll hold onto the job all season long. We need to know, can he handle the pressure? Can he take care of the football, stretch the field vertically and make the most of scoring opportunities? When he slips — because inevitably he will — can he dust himself off and bounce back? Simply put, can he do enough to hold off Austin Mack<\/a> and Keelon Russell<\/a>? Because those two aren’t going to be sitting on their hands on the sideline. And, frankly, the coaching staff can’t afford Simpson a super long leash.
