Taylor Fritz is one of the top ATP players attempting to disrupt the dominance of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fritz is the second seed at the Canadian Open<\/a> this year, with just Alexander Zverev<\/a> ranked higher than him in Toronto.<\/p>\n

This is due to the fact that Sinner<\/a> and Alcaraz<\/a> have withdrawn from the Canadian Open<\/a>, something that Fritz has been outspoken against the ATP Tour about<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fritz<\/a> has also now given his verdict on whether he still thinks he can beat the top two players on the ATP Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sinner and Alcaraz have won the last seven Grand Slams<\/a> combined, and have played each other in the final of both Roland Garros<\/a> and Wimbledon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fritz has been in a Grand Slam final during that time, losing to Sinner at the US Open<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Alcaraz also has a recent victory over Fritz<\/a>, coming in a competitive semifinal battle at Wimbledon earlier this month.<\/p>\n

When speaking in his pre-tournament press conference ahead of the Canadian Open, Fritz claimed that he does think Sinner and Alcaraz are beatable.<\/p>\n

However, the American number one did admit that Sinner and Alcaraz are outperforming the rest of the ATP Tour right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I mean, obviously we had a pretty close match at Wimbledon,\u201d said Fritz. \u201cBut, yeah, I mean, you can\u2019t argue the fact that they\u2019re outperforming, those two are outperforming the field, so that\u2019s a fair thing to say.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think a lot of it depends on the conditions. I think in the right conditions and the right, like if the court\u2019s decent speed, I feel they\u2019re both beatable. I think several players, if the right conditions are met, you know, if they\u2019re not playing their best. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn tennis, just the way tennis is, some people, there are small margins. You win the big points, someone\u2019s having a really good serving day, a really good day, they\u2019re a little bit off, like they\u2019re very beatable. If you want to tell me how beatable they are on their best day, then that\u2019s a little bit different.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, there\u2019s always going to be openings, just depending on the conditions, and if someone has a really good day or a really bad day, it\u2019s possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Taylor Fritz\u2019s Head-to-Head vs Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz<\/p>\n

Fritz has only one win in his eight previous meetings against Sinner and Alcaraz.<\/p>\n

That victory came against Sinner at Indian Wells<\/a> in 2021, where Fritz went on to win the title.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
