{"id":102246,"date":"2025-07-29T14:14:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:14:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/102246\/"},"modified":"2025-07-29T14:14:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:14:12","slug":"jamie-lee-curtis-says-plastic-surgery-has-wiped-out-natural-appearance-in-a-generation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/102246\/","title":{"rendered":"Jamie Lee Curtis says plastic surgery has \u2018wiped out\u2019 natural appearance in a generation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/jamie-lee-curtis-recalls-her-battle-with-addiction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a> has no plans to go under the knife anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2025\/jul\/26\/jamie-lee-curtis-interview-plastic-surgery-power-age-freakier-friday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">The Guardian<\/a>, the 67-year-old actress spoke about her stance against plastic surgery, saying she believes \u201cwe have wiped out a generation or two of natural human [appearance].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe concept that you can alter the way you look through<strong> <\/strong>chemicals, surgical procedures, fillers \u2013 there\u2019s a disfigurement of generations of predominantly women who are altering their appearances,\u201d she explained. \u201cAnd it is aided and abetted by AI, because now the filter face is what people want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While she is against the idea of plastic surgery, she admits \u201cit\u2019s none of my business\u201d to tell others what to do with their bodies, adding \u201cI\u2019m not proselytizing to them,\u201d but knows \u201cthat it is a never-ending cycle,\u201d which she compares to an addiction.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/sports-illustrated-swimsuit-model-kim-alexis-embraces-aging-naturally-without-cosmetic-procedures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT MODEL KIM ALEXIS EMBRACES AGING NATURALLY WITHOUT COSMETIC PROCEDURES<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When confronted with the idea that, as a movie star with confidence, she is speaking about the topic as someone who has more advantages than others, Curtis pushed back, saying \u201cI have short gray hair! Other women can\u201d do the same.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like you\u2019re trying to say: \u2018You\u2019re in some rarefied air, Jamie,&#8217;\u201d she said.<strong> <\/strong>\u201cBy the way, genetics \u2013 you can\u2019t f\u2014 with genetics. You want to know where my genetics lie?\u201d she said, with the interviewer noting she lifted her arm and showed it wobbling. \u00a0\u201cAre you kidding me? By the way, you\u2019re not going to see a picture of me in a tank top, ever\u2026I wear long-sleeve shirts; that\u2019s just common sense.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cI challenge you that I\u2019m in some rarefied air.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Curtis brought many of her own props with her to the photo shoot, including a pair of large red wax lips, which she referred to as her \u201cstatement against plastic surgery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been very vocal about the genocide of a generation of women by the cosmeceutical industrial complex, who\u2019ve disfigured themselves,\u201d she said. \u201cThe wax lips really sends it home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While \u201cgenocide\u201d is a strong word, Curtis finds it appropriate in this case, explaining that is precisely why she has \u201cused that word for a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When speaking about her approach to stepping out as a person in the public eye, she admitted that while there are a lot of \u201cactresses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/halle-berry-heidi-klum-shine-despite-new-cannes-dress-code-banning-nudity-excessively-voluminous-looks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">who love the dress up<\/a>, who love clothes, who love fashion,\u201d she is not one of them. To her, it feels as if she is \u201chaving to wrestle with your idea of me versus my idea of me,\u201d which feels wrong after she \u201cworked hard to establish who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>LIKE WHAT YOU\u2019RE READING?
